how do i remove "bass blockers"?
i got my HU installed a month ago, and at the time i had stock speakers, so the guy said i should put what i think he called bass blockers on to make it sound better. i now have some nice new alpines, and i want to get rid of thoose things, how do i do it?

well... did you put them on or did the guy? if you put them on just undo what you did... if not when you take your speakers out they will be attachted to one of the speaker wires... just take it off... its pretty simple
Usually they put the bass blockers near the speaker itself. You are probally going to have to trace the wires back until locate them. Happy Hunting.
Zackde, yes they have a change in the sound. Basically they are crossovers built for a low cost solution. I would suggest not buying them and pick up a nice crossover, if you have amps. If you don't, then that is a decent solution. They work with all speakers.

Bass blockers eh? I would just trace the wires, and pull off the panels as needed....you may have to pull your hu (it could be close to it), but those filter things are usually close to the speaker itself.
