does anybody know anything about this?? i gotta few questions maybe somebody here can answer.

- what is "dual zone capability"?
- it says enjoy music while backseat passengers watch dvd....???
- does this provide some sort of "screen saver" or video background when DVD function is not being used (when playing an audio cd)

anybody have any other ideas on making my indash (raw) screen more useful? the only time the screen is on is when i throw in a movie in the ps2...which currently isn't in my car. i really never use the screen because its a hassle to put in a movie only to listen to music over it. and its kinda retarted to bump the music and have a completely different movie play along with it. i want some kind of animation or "screen saver" on the screen while my music is playing. PLEASE HELP!!!! ive been trying to get this thing done for quite some time now but i don't know what to do!

For those who want true theater sound on the go, the DVH-P5000MP has an optical digital output for connection to an optional DTS and Dolby Digital decoder. The system has two video outputs for a pair of monitors, and the DVH-P5000MP can even play the radio in the front seats while the video soundtrack plays in the rear. Hopefully that helps clear up the the dual zone thing. And u finally got a reply...

also it should have a screen saver for when ur playing CD's. and if it doesnt u can always download ur own from Pioneer and many other places...

really...download a screen saver to where? the deck? and then it displays on my in dash screen? or on the decks' screen?

i just had a chat session with a rep from crutchfield and he said he wasn't sure about any deck that can do what im wanting...ugh!

"dual zone" means you can have it doing 2 different things; a movie in back and radio up front for example.

I am not sure about the rest. even with people in the car dual zone is pretty useless. I have never once wished I had it in my unit.

i was thinking of building a carputer to play all my music. this way i can put in one of my 250gig hard drives and play mp3s instead of cds, then this way i run windows media player or winamp or something, and they have screen saver thingys

I like that alpine the best, very clean and simple looking

You can probably get by with a cheaper brand and still have good results. I don't know about that **** chung brand but I personally use NESA and it's been good to me. I have a DVD-8000 in my car right now that you might want to look at. I also have 2 of their 6.5" LCD's in my visors and they are amazing looking

only i already have a screen...a raw screen, so i need a source to hook up to that...not one that has a built in screen. whats so hard about making a dvd deck that throws up a screen saver while on audio mode? damn... lol frucking audio companies..gosh..

I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT!

ok...so i called alpine and they told me about the VPE-S431 which is a video expansion tuner. whatever the hell that means. lol. i didn't really have a chance to ask all the questions i wanted because im at work...but i was hoping somebody could help me out with this!

what exactly does the VPE S431 do? how does it work. i mean...what exactly will it display on my indash? will it just project the decks' graphics onto the screen? cuz that'd be freaking awesome. heres a link....somebody help a brotha out!
