My new system...what do you think?
Hey guys, since i work at best buy, i get a reall good discount on car audio equipment. I put a system in my car this week that costed me 920 bucks. And it sounds amazing. I went for clarity as my upmost concern, and bass as my second concern. I listen to a lot of rock music so this is what i chose. Just wanted some comments on what you guys think of the system i chose.
-Pioneer DEH-P7700MP HU
-Ipod Adapter for HU (Pioneer CD-IB100) FREAKIN AWESOME
-Terk XM Radio tuner
-Alpine Type-R Components up front
-Fosgate 4004 Amp
-12in Alpine Type-E sub (was going to get type-r but didnt want to add a second amp
-Dynamat for doors
-4 gauge amp kit
-1 Farad Fosgate Digital Cap
-Fosgate gold battery clamp
-Upgraded tube fuse for amp kit
-Monster Cable RCA cables
I love having everything integrated into my deck (XM, FM stereo, MP3/WMA/AAC cds, Ipod) It looks great and it runs seamlessly. I will be adding AVH-P5700DVD as soon as i get some money ($600 on bb employee discount) cant pass that up.
All this for 920 including tax. I wonder how much this would all cost at street price, (too lazy to look it up)
But if you want clear sound, this is a great system. I installed everything myself because I wanted to get a feel for the electronics of my 01 coupe and because i wanted to make sure it was done right. Took me 15 hours, but that is because i took alot of time to make everything look good. I will be posting pics very soon.

Alright guys, going to post some pics today
best buy tells their employees that the discount is 5% above cost, but i think they are lying because i have seen cost on some items and the discount is not even close to 5%. But on car audio it is very good.

I used to work there and I got the RF4004 for like 160 and it retailed for 300. the 1F caps go from 150 down to like 50 or 70(I forgot). In car audio I think the average is like 30-40% off. The wiring has huge discounts but the regular cd decks r only like 15-20% off unless u go with an in dash which u can get like 40-50% off(1300 kenwood goes to 800). The managers/supervisors get a bigger discount then the normal employees. And if u choose to work at BB u only want to work there long enough to buy everything that u want, then quit. work during the holiday cuz ur employee discount is activated in like 1week(?) compared to 1 month. Then quit. I was there for almost 2 years and thought it was the best job every until I got out. Then I realized that it was just ok. They proclaim that they dont pressure the customer but u have to to meet ur sales goals ($, D Subs(XM, Sirius, AOL, etc.) PSP's (service plans), PRP's(replacement plans) and accessories)
