You aren't gonna get **** for $200 if you want 2 subs. The only subs I know of that I would even consider, but havne't heard, are CDT Audio Cl series. Those are 89 ea.

you have a power RF amp? like a 1000bd or something? that amp is a beast, woofers like the JL W0 will die on that amp, lol. unless of course, you run it at a high impedance load, like 4 ohms.
if JL W0's are a consideration, consider the W1v2. I just heard that they are on back order from JL and wont be in stock until july/august. if you have a shop around that still has them, consider buying those. you should be able to get two 12 W1v2's for $200 (two 13 W1v2's should run $300 a pair). if you're lucky, you might be able to get a couple 8 ohm subs so that you can run them at 4 ohms.
i love the W1v2's, great subwoofer for the money, i'd buy them if i wanted an inexpensive, shallow mount, small enclosure driver.

I just installed 2 10W1V2's last weekend and I'm loving it. They may not hit as hard as some other subs in that price range, but you'll definitely feel a good thump. Not only that, it's a good quality bass; very tight and precise.

I listened to a few other subs the sale guy was trying sell me, and although they had more power, none of them sounded near the quality as the w1's. Just my 2 cents.

You might want to consider one Ascendant Audio Avalance 15". Due to a liscencing issue with Adire Audio they are blowing out their current inventory at crazy prices. The 15" Avalance is $225. Check out www.ascendantaudio.com. I just ordered one of the 12"'s and I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival. The Avalance series will take that 1000 watts without a problem.

if i'm not mistaken, the rockford 1000bd/1001bd do 1000 watts at 2 ohms, and 500 watts at 4 ohms, so running it at 4 ohms will give you 500 watts, power that i think the W1v2's should handle (a pair of them).
my local shop did a SQ car, put two 12w0's in a vented box with a JL 500/1 on them, they take a massive beating, pound hard, and sound great to. i think the W1v2 can handle it if the W0 can.

But as far as loudness and clarity is concerned with my particular amp, would i be better off with say that 15" Avalanche, or 2 12" Wv1's?

Also, would the 12" Kicker Comp VR's (800 peak power handeling) be able to withstand the 1000 watt mono amp if wired correctly?

het 2 kicker comp cvr's they would handle that amp as long as it is wired correctly. run them at 4 ohm and you should be good.

i worked at a car audio spot until about 2 weeks ago and i would say get a boston acoustics g21244 but if its one of the old t10001bd with heat sink and not the new powers series amp u should go with a dual 2 ohm type "R" alpine but if its a new power series rf its not 1 ohm stable so do the g21244

i dont think u'll get much more from a 15 instead of 2 12's... i think the power in a 15 is distributed to wide in a 15 and they take up a lot of space if ur planning to do a good trunk job... i got my 3 10's w/box for 200 and they are awesome, some random brand but they knock
