sound system help.
hey everyone. i have a pioneer headunit model # DEH-P4500MP. whenever i turn on my stereo it sounds like its crap, sorta like the speakers are blown. but when i fade the sound all the way to the rear, it sounds perfect. i know its not my head unit because i put back my stock cd player and its still doing it. and i know its not my speakers because they sound perfect when the sound is faded all the way to the back... im so confused...
any input would be appricaiated. thanks.

speaker wire could be touching metal, i'll check in the morning. amp is hooked up to 2 12" pioneer subs. no amp for the mids or highs, they are hooked directly yo the headunit. and yes i did it myself. when i installed the speakers, i just cut off the plastic adapter thing and connected the speakers with the wires that came with them.
How do your rear speakers sound when it isn't faded all the way to the rear? If the rear ones sound bad when it isn't faded all the way to the rear, then I don't know what the problems is. If they sound fine then check your wiring in the front. Your speakers might be out of phase.
