Does anyone know why the prices of pretty much everything made by PG has dropped in price so drastically?

I know they had some amp problems on the first run, but you can get a whole PG system for an amazing price nowadays!!

Define drastically? I haven't noticed any difference but its not like I go into audio shops anyway

Well, online everything has dropped in price between 15-30% for PG stuff (and the xenon stuff is not that old), including authorized online retailers.

Also, Sounddomain is no longer listed as an authorized dealer for PG, but Crutchfield is

...maybe that is why the PG prices are so low at SD!!

yeah SD got their auth status revoked... there are problems between the two companies

I had a look at ebay and prices seemed about par with what they were before... maybe 20-30 less, but not alot, so I will give this one a big fat

hmmm, maybe it is just me...Did SD get revoked or did PG get revoked?? PG was the one running so many defects out there.

PG took their auth internet reseller status away becuase of some problems.

Good read...so basically this is how I'm seeing it...

Sales of PG products have slowed to a lava like pace because of the recent reputation for defects and moving their production oftheir consumer amps overseas > Sounddomain is forced to drop their PG prices just to get of stuff that was once from a company who was one of their biggest sellers (because of their recent reputation)> PG pulls SDs authorizathion because they are selling below the MAP.

I guess both companies need to take a lil responsibility...but as a consumer, I would scoop up PG stuff from SD...the Xenon subs are at a rediculous price!! Like I said earlier, you can get a whole PG (Xenon) system for a rediculous price right now!!

A guy I used to chat with wored for them and said their new line of stuff (Xenon line) was junk. They used to use hand matched transistors and stuff on the older stuff and now they just throw in whatever.

Its a shame when companies do stuff like that.

Edit: Actualy he didn't use the word junk. And I'm paraphrasing and maybe exagerating a little bit. But the idea is the new stuff isn't as good.
