New HU's

why can't new head units have tight displays like those AND NOT have a stupid menu to navigate through? I mean why does it have to be so difficult to turn down the sub level? or change the DSO level? well...lemme take that back..its not hard, i mean once you get used to it you can do it with out even looking at the menu...but still..you shouldn't have to navigate a menu.
why do you need such fancy displays? If that's what you are looking for, get a flip out. BTW, most new HU do have nice displays. For example, Alpine's Biolite 9855 or 9835 looks really good, and sounds better than most HU on the market.

nah...really?!?! haha jk. i know they're not the best brands in car audio..which is why I want to know why the best brands in car audio can't have these kinds of displays AND still have the all the features and power that make them the best in the first place. why can't
have a display like
this? i mean exactly like that...the alpine button lay out with the TFT screen? cause alpine is not all about "flashy" stuff... they are decently modest, except they carry a name that everyone knows is pretty damn good, which attracts more thieves than some fancy color screen display on a sony or kenwood...and plus, you're not gonna be staring at the color screen of your HU while you drive neway... if you do ... i'll shoot you right now *wink* ^_^

ya you're right...its not like i ever use the DVD funcion on that sony ^^ i posted. but i'd just like something that doesn't look like the deck my friend had in his 89 Ranger...since 95 lol. I dunno..the alpine display...analog or whatever...looks like scoreboard writing. im not saying i want the displays to play DVD's or have HDTV quality or anything like that...but what would be wrong with alpine using a TFT display or even just making it digital *fock i don't know terminology for this stuff* is digital right? haha

haha what concert is that? i ususally play incubus on the screen and listen to something else haha. only because i don't have many dvd concerts and would rather have a concert than a movie everytime i drive.
yeah...no need to look at the small color screen of the HU when you have a monitor...but i'd still like a sick looking HU with better funcionability than the ones you have to navigate through.
