door panel nightmare...

Anybody know how the hell I can get rid of this?? Don't say new door panels cause I don't have 400 bucks.
A few months ago, I cut my door panels to fit my new tweeters in, and now, since I got new speakers, I put my new tweets in the sail panels.
I'm open to any kinds of suggestions, so please try to help out. I was thinking to cover the hole sand it down, and paint the top of the door panel, but I have no clue what kind of materials I would need for that.
Here's a picture of how it looks

just get some fiberglass matt, lay it over the hole and put the resin on it. do this untill sturdy and then sand it smooth and paint it

lol. If it were me (not good at doing that stuff...) I would try and get a piece of wood to fit the hole and glue it on from the back. Then use putty or something to fill the sides, sand, and paint over just that top strip. Or you could try to find something like a light or whatever to stick in. I don't know. Just put the tweeters back in.

do you have a rubber grommet that would fit around the edge that came with the tweeter? You could put that back and just cut a piece of plastic and stick that in. Like a spacer. You can cut plastic from a blockbuster video case.

I say, remove the cut part, bondo over the hole, and wrap it in either leather or vynal (Why can't I spell it tonight!) It'll come out good, I think. Either that or run 2 sets of tweeters.

Well, that would sound like ****... LOL.
I had my old tweeters in there, but I've decided to take them out, cause it didn't look that clean.
Obviously, it looks much better now

nah man, I don't wanna leave the tweeters in.
I think I'm gonna buy the synthetic suede from car domain, and cover the top part of the door panel with it. Hope it looks good.

it did, but my previous tweeters were way bigger to fit (polk audio). The mb quarts that I have right now, fit right in, and they look damn good in there, but now I have that damn hole in my door.

BTW, gearbox do you think I should go with vinyl or suede??

No vinyl! Looks so tacky and sun will fade it. This is an old pic when I first did it, and the color matches well with the floormats. I think it's clean...

I have both front door pannels off of a 4 door civic. You could use the plastic from them if you want to buy the pannels off of me =)

Either find some panels in a junk yard (you could get them for about $25) or buy the grilles for some tweets (hell, make your own from mesh) and slap some neon back there. Not the best, but it'd work and require minimal work. You could always glass fmo the back, and paint the whole panel with textured paint.

This may or may not help, but according to Majestic's website, the door panels are $120.00 each, so they're a bit cheaper than you might have expected...

Fiberglass, sand, vinyl covering... a bit of work but when done right, will look better than new.
