Phonenix Gold Question

Anybody have any expirience with the Titanium amps? I have an oppurtunitiy to pick up a Titanium 800.2 (800w x 1) and a Titanium 500.4 (75w x 4).

Whats sound quality like?

Heard anything bad/good about them?

Im getting a good deal on them! My buddy (which owns an audio shop) ordered them for a customer but the guy backed out, now he's stuck with these amps, he's giving them to me at cost and no tax!

dude, i have a 600.2 going to my front comps...you can hear it whenever you want (I got it from an authorized dealer for 3 bills).

I think the amp is better then the JBL px 600.2 that I used to use on my highs (I now use that on my midbass). It does not get hiss like the JBL, and it has a real dynamic sound that I didn't find with the JBL...but of course my bass drowns everything out.

I have always had very laid back highs in my car, but I think that is more of a speaker placement thing...when i have had quarts in the sails, i almost went deaf

In my opinion, a great amp that only has the features that are needed...and no dumb features that are useless...they come with rating sheets too, and they are usually way better then spec...in fact, here is mine...

BTW Wes, the amp is the 800.1 monoblock amp, but I think it is a class A/B.

Also, the 500.4 can be bridged to put out a rated 250 x 2 (prolly more realistically)!

If you don't buy 'em, I may be interested

Phoenix gold has always been plain and simple amps providing clean power and what you need. I have the 600.2 feeding 2 12" Power Acoustic WL12s and its to much even on them as DVC. but it is clean power and sound

Yep there quality, thats why there a little more money but I have owned several of there models very low distortion. worth it in my opinion. Not only that they are pretty versatile, you can run them @ 4ohm mono, 2ohm mono, 1ohm stereo.
