Finished Boxes and Crossover install
Just recently finished the boxes and installing them into the trunk. Also installed the crossover onto the backseat. This will have to do until I can make a new trunk floor. I know the subs aren't perfectly straight, but thats the price I paid for pre-drilling holes and inserting Tee-nuts prior to attaching the last piece to the box
. Hope you like it. As soon as I get the 9853 installed I will post pics of that.

nice job, do you know how loud that is going to be? and how good it will sound. My brother has those subs in a prefab box and its pretty good stuff. what are those boxes made out of or did you spray them with something?

I previously had them in a prefab sealed box that was very close to the specified air space, and they sounded awesome. However, I got the specs for those boxes directly from Diamond and they are a very considerable amount louder. I had to get that crossover because my EQ and amp did not have a subsonic filter. Those boxes are a snail shell design and the port is tuned to 33hz, so I needed a 30hz subsonic filter. One of the cool things is that the crossover also cleaned up the subs altogether producing a better sound. The boxes are made from 3/4 MDF, once completed I sprayed 2 coats of primer, and 2 coats of textured spray paint. I think it was called Stone Creations or something like that. Overall I am pleased, it took a long time to build the boxes but it was worth it.
