How is ASCENDANT AUDIO???
I heard on another forum that these subs are pretty good. somebody recommended them as equals to the Shiva. anybody here know about them or heard them??

Merced - merced is in CA, in the central valley. 2 hours from SF, Yosemite.....pretty close to Sac town, Modesto and Fresno.....5 from LA

the ascendant audio line from what have been reading is very very nice stuff. in about 2 weeks i will be throwing 2 of the avalanch 15's in. looked at RE XXX looked and the brahmas and previously had some orion h2 's. had a buddies jlw7 in and from what everyone has been saying that one av 15 is around 2 12 w7 in sound q and in spl. give the owner chad a call. he is defiantly the nicest and coolest guy i have ever talked to from any car audio company. just since i was interested in hearing the av's he told me to let him know a day or two in advance so he could build a box specific for my trunk to demo it. i mean damn now that is customer service.

Rep Power: 296 oh dude. its pretty freakin sweet. doesn't distort at all and gets really really low. i haven't really had time to mess with the QTS settings or try the different options - and i have it in small sealed box....so im sure when its properly tuned it even sounds better. ya..but don't worry you'll like it

Rep Power: 0 i was actually up at AA this past weekend got to hear the av 18,15, and 12 and dual 12 atlas' and single 15 atlas. phenominal stuff was very very impressed. so now im doing the two avalanch 15's running off a memphis mojo and my girl is going to be running hers off a rockford 8002. i was just surprised how good even the 18 sounded i firgured it would play slightly sloppy. my buddy almost pooped himself.
Hey guys, there was an argument over the liscence of XBL^2 between Adire and Ascendent. Ascendent will no longer use their technology, they're liquidating their stock, check out http://www.ascendantaudio.com/ The prices are insane!

My ONLY dealings with Chad was to inform him when he first rolled his site that he had to note that XBL^2 is a trademark of Adire Audio. That's it. In fact, we don't even have a license agreement with him - he did it through a licensee of us (the build house); it was a sublicense. Never paid a license fee directly to us, never even had a signed agreement or NDA with us.
It came up as a result of someone basically stating "hey, all XBL^2 drivers are the same so choose the lowest priced one". The answer - they're not. I can't speak for all the different models out there (because I haven't looked at them all), but compared to our units - which I designed - there are some that are better, some that are as good, and some that aren't.

Rep Power: 346 I just wouldn't do business with Adire because of my own personal experience, but I did love my Shivas that didn't have tinsel slap or that the dustcap didn't come off of in the first week
