Let's take roll call of the people in here who have their spare tire becuase of their sound system or otherwise...

My current trunk setup will let me take my spare tire out, but for my upcoming install I am thinking about removing it.... my concern obviously is what happens if I get a flat tire? I am sure I won't, but the big WHAT IF applies...

I have no spare tire, all the factory sound deadening from the front seats back is gone and everything from the front seats back is taken out. All panels, seats, back decks. You name it it's gone.
The only thing back there is a can of tire sealant just in case.
Got to be as light as possible for the track.

mine is still in... which is dumb because my sub box is too big to come out. I got it in there then fastened the amp on top... it's not coming out any time soon. hope I'm around civilization when/if I get a flat

No spare since my sub box is probably 60lbs or more. My *** end was too heavy with all that junk there. I replaced it with tire sealant and AMA membership

I did that too... Honda replaced it... I told them it "just went flat"... anyway, it was relocated underneath on a system i integrated from a pick-up. I now haev it relocated to the back seat in a green garbage bag...

I have 2 12" subs in dual box, 2 big *** amps, and nitrous bottle mounted in my trunk. I still keep my spare. And I am so glad I did because I have gotten 3 flats total in couple months. Maybe I should stop trying to drift with my negative camber. Anyways, AAA wont do **** but tow the car, why wait when you can just put on your spare and go. Its not safe driving without a spare. Thats the way I think of it.

Yes sir... I did actualyl do it. It was a bitch too, and not worth all of the hassle to do. It also wasn't worth doing because of the fact that you still had to blindly locate the thing you put the crank's tool in, and then you had to unhook the tire. I thouhght it aws a cool idea at the time. Looking back, it was pointless, and a waste of time.

I think I still have warranty left. I bought it in 2001, and I've only got 33K miles on it. Whatever the extended warranty covers. Granted, it took them about 3 months to actually get honda to replace it, but i did get one for free. I called on a daily basis the last 2 weeks I guess is why they finally got it done for me. Looked like they were going to procrastinate right up until the last moment.
