So now that I'm about to upgrade my stereo in my car I'm thinking I may want to consider getting an alarm. I imagine this isn't something you want to install on your own...

I've always though those ones with the LCD remote, remote start and whatnot were pretty cool. What are some decent brands/models and how much will I be looking paying for something like this (installed)?

I don't want the most high end but I do want something above average. Will I be looking at 300 installed or more lilke 500?

prolly somewhere around $400 installed, depending on the brand and what options/accesories you choose.

i believe mine was like $385 installed, i forget what brand it was tho

Viper 791XV is what I have with the LCD screen remote and all the added on modules, remote start, turbo timer, proxy sensors... $250 installed.

Mine was 600 installed, but that was over a year ago. Got my fiance's windows tinted a couple weeks ago, and that dealer said he could of done it for around 500 installed. You can find good deals at custom audio and single owner shops, but I always check with the Better Business Bureau before committing serious cash.
