RF amps.. sure.. good stuff... RF Subs.. good too.. RF Speakers.. half decent.. RF Head units... for gods sake what are you thinking.. (quoted to me by a Rockford Fosgate fanatic some 3 years back)... They're HU's are not well made and don't really ofer good sound quality.

Depends, what do you think of the stock GM radios? Rockford and AC Delco joined forces to build these head units. I really don't see too many of them out there. Too new to the market place for high sales. Audiophiles just want to stick with old school. If you want to stay high end, go with Alpine.

I have all rockford Fosgate products on my car, yesterday i just hooke dup a rockford bd1000 and a cap to my alreadyr ockford filled car, i listed them in my members ride with their product code, but here it is...
1000watt amp powering subs
360watt amp powering mid/high
2 HE2 10 inch driver
9000 MP3 player
1 farat cap
Fanatic X componet system upfront
entry level 6x9 in the back
it's not as loud as some of the cars out there,(they said i need a bigger box, twice the size of the one i have now, which i don't want, more weight to my car)
if you also want a cheaper alternative, Rockford builds Lightning audio in the house, the lightning stuff are just as good, but cheaper. High Octane hit a 127bd with 1 12 inch lightning sub with 2 bd1000 on it in a 10cube box(it was 2 subs, but one sub was dead, since they were betas, they were running on one sub, in a box, with the other sub dead sitting there) anyway the sub was louder than FOUR HX2 Power 15"s and 3 IDMax. funny thing was everyone went to the competition with like.. souped up honda and nice trucks or eclipse. hight octane showed up with a 88 toyota all beat up, the car died later that week.

I recently purchased a rockford amp and sub, I am just using my Honda HU though until I can afford to buy a new one!! I am very happy with the sound they put out. But from what Mohawk said, I will be avoiding the Rockford HU!!!

Nothing wrong with RF hu's for general use... Unless your running all competition quality equipment the difference between a decent HU and A great Hu is the price ...The only time you'll actually notice a difference is if pretty much all your components are way overpriced good stuff .. RF HU's fall into the decent class. They'll never win a Sound Quality competition but If it's for a daily driver setup..It's all good...
Cheers

Those speakers have some nasty frequency response.. the Fanatic p's and q's are pretty good tho..

ok voice i'm really confussed here. Somehow i'm not getting the whole 127bd thing. do you mean DB? and if so 127 is nothing. there is no way it beat 4 15's. they could do 127 with like the volume at 5. I have 2 Power Hx2 15's in my honda and i'm hitting around 150. Please explain cause it makes no sense. Plus my old setup was one regular Rockford HX2 15 in a ported box with 400 watts to it and it was at 143 and thats with the car sealed up. not Outlaw
I'm selling that by the way, anyone in Fl interested?? $350 with brand new hx2,Box,and floorboard. Pic at bottom along with my new setup.
so check back on those numbers cause they are WAY low and maybe that all will make sense. Do you know what the Rockfords or IDmax's where hitting at? I built a box for my friend with 4 reg HX2 15's and it hits over 150.....

yes, they beat a lot of other cars and came 4th place with one sub, in the 2 sub competition at the sound advice in sarasota. they were running back then, lightning audio betas, which is still not out far as i know, the magnet is twice the size of the current x1.12.v2 and about the same size surround. the box was designed to hold both subs throwing, but one of the beta died from over working in a dusty environment (a lot of saw dust from constructing the 10cube box) no **** when both was working, it shot screws back out from the inside of the box, the first box they built completely exploded, they had to build a new one and renforce it with more screw, more caulk and more staples and even more wood. and they did indeed win over audiotronic's 4 15inch mtx with one lightning woofer
blame audiotronic for been crappy
i am also selling my setup too
850 with a bd1000.1, 2 he2 in a custom 4 cube box, also in florida, need the money for other stuff

yes, i did wanted to say 127db and i am sure you cna hit 150 with your box, thatw as design with the air space of 2 subs in mind, the box they built was design for 2 subs in mind, but only one worked, not as much sound came out. and like i said, i don't know how they did it, but they did indeed beat out 4 mtx subs, the high at the competition was 147, maybe the mic was screwy? a few of the competitors went to a different competitiona d they got 2-3db higher with the same setup :-\
RF subs = SPL ONLY! unless you like *** system.....
never had experience with RF deck, never will (never had optimus deck, never will.....never had rockwood deck, never will....... etc.)
RF amps, ovverrated, but if you get them cheap, then its all good! power is power, so if you pay $300 for a 7000 watt RF that actually does 1500 watts RMS, you got a deal, id say!
demoed RF speakers, all ****, ALL ***, then we put fanatic P in my buddies 4runner, i was
nothing to be all crazy about, but when you tihhnk something is crap, and it turns out to be entrylevel/almost mid level....
if you get fanatic P components, WORD OF CAUTION, my buddy bought teh best buy PSP, and glad, cause his speakers have blown TWICE now..... i dont know how RF is about service, but best buy is great ^.^ cant beat free replacement ^.^
so........ to answer your ORIGINAL questiom, ive never heard an RF deck hahahahaha
