1 before pic and 3 after pics.
3/4" MDF, liquid nails, sheetrock screws, silicone caulk, and time. Still needs one more coat of paint. I'm about to start the second box, what'ya think?

Looks like you scrapped your original idea of a transmission line box no? Regular ported, no? Looks good though. Looks pretty good with the spackle (textured) paint... I'd still have went with teh truck bed liner, but it should match up a'ight. Nice work...

Thanks man, dinero situation is tight(getting married), I liked that Idea with the bed liner a lot, but this was easier on the pocket book. It is the snail shell port, there are three baffles, the little one in front is 2" and the next two are 9.75".
Looks like a 15 or an 18" sub? Looks good, but I would most definitely reinforce that thing before putting a speaker in there. EVen you didn't account for reinforcement when you spec'd it out, I'd still do it and eat the volume loss. Just a couple of 2" braces along the inner seams, something.

Actually its a 12" sub, I had thought about bracing it but I used specific specs from Diamond Audio, they didn't call for a brace, but like you said better judgements tells me to throw a couple in. The overall displacement is 1.7', the port accounts for .6', and the driver will account for .1', this makes the net displacement 1.0'. If any body wants these specs, I would be glad to hook em up, but they are for Diamond Audio Drivers, I don't know how they would work with other subs.

Thanks, I thought it looked alright, I guess its just a personal pref, oh--and I agree with the 6" spacing of drywall screws. Some people are just closed minded.
