I like the nak MB-100. I like the idea of 6 disc in dash, it has large buttons for easy use, no display so it has a better stealth look, its black rather than silver so it matches my dash better than a colored or silver unit, and it has NO features to distract me or that I overpay for compared to an aftermarket DSP.

Pioneer DEX-P9 Reference Series with DEQ-P9 DSP. Fawkin sweet **** unit. Then the FH-P5000MP. It's a double-din CD/Cassette reciever with a sweet *** LCD display. Then I'd say the Nak unit rabbit mentioned.

I have a jvc and I agree that it sucks that they don't have a pause button....
but they don't sound bad at all!
by the way, I have the KD-SH9750 and I'm quite happy with it

avic-n2, traffic reports and detour around traffic... vehicle dynamics: (acceleration, braking, side acceleration, slope, speed, compass, etc)...
the eclipse avn2454 is also nice, double din/double drive so you can do navigation while listening to a cd at the same time... same navigation unit that comes standard in some lexus cars...

...see I literally got it the day I posted that.....then, I spent almost an hour and a half fine tuning everything and playing with the frequcey controls and it now sounds much better then my clarion ever did, It's just really important to take the time to set it up right in the first place....

I'm going to have to go a little older on you guys ...
I think that the Pioneer Premier DEX-P1R is the best HU designed. It's a very simple, clean interface, yet you can tweak just about everything on it. 13-band EQ, time alignment, etc. It was very high-tech for it's day. I still love it, even if it's 6 or so years old. Only complaint is that the face is washed out during the day.
I'll probably be buying a new HU sometime here in the future though. Still gonna stick with Pioneer, I think. Either a DEH-860MP or wait to see what's new for the spring/summer.

The N2, still needs to buy a seperate unit (GEX-P10XMT) in order to use the navitraffic and a subscription through XM, $13.99! The traffic reports and detours only work on major highways and I believe right now 13 cities. N2 is the same as the N1 in functions, just comes with an updated map disk, however the only difference on this disk is it loads new software onto the unit not allowing you to drive with the a dvd playing. Even if you have grounded the e-brake wire. This is accomplished with the hide away unit and the gyroscope inside it detecting movement! I wish I would have known that before I loaded the new software!
