Help with sub setup
So i use to have the traditonal in the trunk set up, but then one night i got a flat and had to break the wood underneath to get to my spare. So i got rid of that system and i am wanting to put a new one in but i still want access to my spare (just in case) anyone have any different ideas on how to setup my system?

fiberglass it to the sides of the trunk, but cut a new wood floor for the trunk to be able to slide out without interfering with the new enclosure.

Cut out the trunk floor you desire to use (replacing the entire piece). Once it's cut, decide where you want to be able to access, and cut that piece in half, thids, whatever. Lay it out as if it weren't cut. Carpet entire picee and use carpet as your hinge. You could get fancy and router out grooves to accomodate hinges, buit it's not necessary.
cut a piece of wood as wide as the cardboard stuff is(add 1.5 inches) then cut a few pieces like 2 inches tall and a few more like 3-4 inches wide. put them together like in this pic.
then mount your woofer box on top of the board in the middle. now your woofers will be an inche or 2 above the cardboard and youll be able to move the cardboard to get to the spare. or you could go into soem crazy stuff mounting it upside down in the rear deck but more angles and geometry involved in that cutting.

i replaced the floor in my trunk with 1/4" fiber board. i hinged it in two spots, one so i can get into the square section of the wheel well (i normally keep some water in there), and the other spot right before my sub box. with it like that, i am able to lift it up, twist the nut that's holding the spare down, and am able to pull the spare out, all without moving the sub box.
