A/V question
On my indash scree, there is only one A/V jack, which currently an engine monitoring system is plugged into... I was wondering if there was like a little switch I could install to turn that one A/V output into 2, and like I flip the switch externally) to change between the engine monitor and, say, a ps2? Thanks, I'n an ICE n00b lol
They have those system selector things (you can get them from walmart or gamestop), that let you hook up, say, a PS2, xbox, gamecube, etc. I dont know if thats what youre talking about though

Hmm, but I need something that will work in my car that's like self powered. lmao I would think this would be a common thing but eh. The problem is I could plug the PS2 into my CAMP unit which is currently filling the one A/V slot, put that unit is PAL and my screen is NTCS, so it's a little blurry. If I could fix the blurryness (like i dunno if they make pal to ntsc conveters so it's not blurry anymore) i would solve alot of problems for me... but i dont think they do... so I'm thinking my next best bet is like an A/V switch to go from 1 slot to 2 different things
On second thought.....
There is a company called P.I.E. that makes convertors that plug into the changer port on the head unit and converts it to an Aux. input. I am not real sure if they make one for that unit but if so, it would work alot better.
Wish I could be more help on this, but we only move some of the lower end Kenwood radios, so I'm not real familiar with that unit.

there is an adapter that has a manual a/b switch that you can use. I have a clarion vrx935vd head unit that uses an external decoder box which does auto switching for multiple inputs. so you can either get the manual switching adapter or find an electronic auto sense adapter. If i can remember who makes it I will post back.

Hmmm, sure, thanks. I was thinking of just putting it under the drivers seat where I might have the ps2. I'm trying to get this figured out because when I start showing I wanna have the ps2 incase the people I'm with (firends or whomever, no gf for me lmao) get bored they can just play ps2. It wont be used THAT much, but I appreicate the input. Thanks guys.
