I'm rebuilding my stereo this spring and I have an older Kenwood amp that is mostly rough black (steel?) and a Pioneer amp that is polished aluminum.

Has anyone had any problems with painting the outter housing of their amps? (I would like both of them to look similar)

but just dont paint the heat sink =)

Never painted one, but I'd use a heat resistant paint, or possibly something like a brake caliper paint.

Yeah, Autozone, pep boys and VIP have a section of paints for painting calipers and engine bays and stuff. I'd use that. VHT makes some that I've used and I think plasti kote makes some too. I love plasti kote paints.

yeah, very high heat resistant paint, cuz an amp can get freakin hot. Especially since you have some hot summers, like me. AZ sucks.
