Removing Dome Lights?

I know I have already asked this, as did many other people, but today I tried to remove my front dome light in order to take the roof lining off to fix rattles and I couldn't get it off. I tried pulling on it as hard as i could and it barely budged. What the hell is holding it in there and how do I get it out without breaking it? Thanks.

That's for the coupe of course, don't know if the light is different on the sedan or not. And that's just the front one. The rear is probably attached in a similar way, but may be a little different. I do, however remember that there is a pic in the manual. Should be under something like changing map/dome light bulb or something like that.

Civic_RedLine will become famous soon enough
For the coupe, you can just use small flat-tip screw drivers to pry out where it has space.

What do you suggest he do with the two screws (one on each side right next to the outer bulbs)(yes, i went out, popped the clear plastic cover and looked myself)? Break the plastic that they go through to attach them to teh roof? That's how stuff gets torn up when DIY'ing, people misinforming people. Thanks, that's $4.16 at the second window, please drive around...

BTW, can we ban this guy before he gives advice and someone tears something up?

You can see the screw locations in the pic here. That's for an EX coupe, I doubt it attaches differently for different trim levels, but to be sure, you may want to enter your vehicle's information at the site above and just double check.

yea, I figured it out even before I read the responses to my question. I managed to remove everything holding the headliner up, but still couldn't find what the hell was rattling up there. Guess I will just have to live with it.
