Fiberglass Question about cloth
Im about to embark on my first fiberglassing build. i have a general idea on the entire process and the things involved. Ive read A LOT.
I still have a question about the cloth. Does it have to be fleece? Can i use the "fiberglass" cloth stuff they sell in the auto stores? Is that stuff easy to work with? Is it stretchy?
I really dont ahve any fleece clothing that i can waste. What do you gets recommend?

i used an old t-shirt and cut it up.....it worked well but u have to lay more resin on the shirts than fleece......just make sure it is hard and sealed. good luck! have fun, i love working with glass very relaxing

Go to walmart, fabric stores, etc, and look throuh the reminant bin. You can find fleece or a stretchy t-shirt type material you can use for pennies on the dollar. Just go through the remnant bins (leftovers), cause you'll pay about 1/2 of the price you would buying off the roll. I paid 5 bucks for about 35 sq ft. of fleece a couple of weeks ago at walmart.
I need TP for my bunghole

1. get a dense strechy fabric that can hold a heavy saturation of resin.
2. cut the fiberglass into square for easy use.
3. apply the squares to the heavily saturated fabric.
4. more resin as needed.

You can use the fiberglass cloth. I've used it, just prepare to itch like crazy
Like, you said, fleece is the best to use. It's cheap too. Better results, less time consuming.
