I was on another forum for Integras the other day and I was in the CT section. There is a guy here in CT selling a Clarion VRX395vd tv/dvd player. Here's the thing, he was supposedly in a car accident and the separate brain was smashed. If I were to buy the screen and wires, would another brain from Clarion work? Do they program them to specific pieces?

I actually had one of those for 2 weeks when they first came out and it was AWESOME!! It didn't fit in the Integra the way I liked it to so I returned it for some other things. He's asking $400 but told me to make him an offer. Should I trust this as well?

you should be able to order the brain seperately, it shouldnt matter. price might be a problem though as i dont think dealers will stock it and clarion probably wont deal with you on the phone.
if the car was in an accident, i would be worried about the monitor portion, something could have been jarred inside the unit and it may not live long.
be careful.
how much is it for? crutchfield sells it for like $1400 new, and my local shop sold one for $1200 couple weeks back, might be something to consider.
