Rep Power: 0 JL Audio Ohm Rating?
Hi everyone, I had a JL 12w3v2 Dual 4 Ohm woofer and it doesn't work anymore, somehow the coil got blown. I need another one and I was looking on ebay and I can't find another D4 12w3v2, just a D2 and D6 Ohm woofer. Do the Ohm ratings on the V2 make a difference, or will I be able to wire them all to handle a 4 Ohm load even though they say 6 Ohm and 2 Ohm? Thanks.

Rep Power: 0 You have the M350 right. Thats 350 watts rms @ 2 ohms.
A D4 version wired in parallel is 2 ohms, so 350 rms, perfect for that amp.
If you get a D6 version, wire it in parallel for 3 ohms, so about 275 rms.
If you get the D2 version, you have to wire it in series for a total of 4 ohms, so about 200 rms.
Those are whats going to happen. I'd hold out for a D4 myself ....

Rep Power: 0 Its an M300, 300W RMS at 4Ohms. So basically if I get the 2Ohm 12w3v2, I can wire it up into a 4 Ohm load like my previous D4 and push it at 300W RMS. Sounds good.

Rep Power: 0 No ..... 300 rms @ 2 ohms ..... but 150 rms @ 4 ohms
D4 in parallel runs at 2 ohms for 300 watts rms
D6 in parallel runs at 3 ohms for 200 watts rms
D2 in series runs at 4 ohms for 150 watts rms

D2 in series runs at 4 ohms for 150 watts rms

Rep Power: 0 Sorry, that is what i meant. Well then I have to find a D4 somewhere to get the maximum power and sound from the amplifier and subwoofer.
