need help/suggestions from sub guru's...
i am thinking of getting this sub.. and sticking it in my bazooka tube... and take out my old bazooka 10"... do you guys think its okay??? to stick it in a bazooka tube...and also what do you guys think of this mtx sub... i currently have a amp that is 75x2 watts.. but bridged it so that's 150w. do you guys think that would be sufficient to run this new sub???? and lastly... if my current amp is not sufficient to run this mtx sub.. then what power of an amp do you guys suggest.. thanks any suggestion will be appreciated.. only wanna get this sub.. cause its reasonable price..

I'd build a new box. It would only cost 15 bucks or so. The reason is that if you click on the Specs link for that sub it shows that (ported) it needs
Ported box volume (cu. ft.) 1.25
Port diameter (inches) 3.0
Port length (inches) 10.75
It would be easy to make a box that is right on the money for those dimensions which will greatly imporve your overall sound quality and loudness. See, your bazooka tube is made for THAT speaker and its specifications may or may not agree with the MTX sub.
All you have to do is buy some 1/2" MDF(medium density fiberboard) from any home depot or lowes. $15 max. some screws and some silicone. Takes about 2hrs total
PS that amp should be fine. Will it run bridges (one channel) @4ohms without overheating?
