This is the guy's Review.
idmax 10" V4 prototype review
Yes, it is the V4!!!
It's a prototype so the actual production may have different look/sound, so...
It was 10:40 PM, I was cooling off from gym and decided to swap my max. Boy was I wrong!
Here is a shot of the V3 and V4 next to each other.
awesome glue work there, Matt!

Notice the change in cone assembly. The new cone assembly is much more rigid and stiff. No more easily dented dustcap..
Next, the
motor
Notice the v3 on left has 3 stack of magnets while the v4 has 2, but fatter? My box has this brace that lets my max's motor to "sit" and help support it.
So yeah, instead of cooling down, I sweat even more to fit the bigger motor
The V4 has totally new cone assembly. It doesn't have that "ashtray" metal to help dissipate heat to the dustcap.
It has v3's. Look at that healthy voice coil. I do take care of my stuff
The system:

Listening test:
I noticed the V4 has softer suspension. This usuall y means higher sensitivity!
But I also kinda worried since the dustcap is no longer aluminum. I always like the sound of woofers with metal cone. All the woofers with those cones that I owned have that "kick" in upper freq. We'll see.
I popped in Ian Van Dahl's Ace album and went to track 2.
I always like this track (Will I) at minute 1:30 to 2:00.
This track has that fast beat that works out the sub really good and be able to "tell" you how well your sub plays fast and how much control it has.
I immediately noticed that my sub is overpowering my front stage. Higher sensitivity! I had to tame it down 2 db to leve everything up. I also immediately noticed that this sub is much smoother than the V3. I love the V3 due to it's impact on upper freq bass. My taste is always into fast accurate sub. I don't care about low end that much.
The v4 is very transparent, blends very well and it actually makes it hard to detect where the sub is.
I listened to few more tracks and call it for the day since it's late.
My conclusion for today:
V3: Love the sub. Quick, punchy, accurate and has that impact on upper freq. But this sometimes on some tracks makes the sub sounds a lil too thick.
V4: High sensitivity. This is good. Less power needed.
Smooth, very smooth, blends very well. Very transparent.
So far, it's a toss up for me.I my V3 due to its impact. But the V4 tops it on overall performance.
I'll break it in in few weeks and listen some more.
Time to zzzzzzzzzz.
Thanks Matt!!!!

...dude, do we have the same system
I don't think that the version 4s will be out for awhile.
I don't know. Go to my web page @ http://www.sounddomain.com/id/tdb30 and compare.
