What are the ten best component speaker sets ever released for the general consumer?
I give my vote to QSDs...best I have heard

Alpine SPX-Z18T's.
I notice a trend here and it's that we are all picking currently available speakers as our choices. Are there any discontinued models thats should make this list or is it safe to say that we currently have the best speakers that have ever been available for car audio?

MB Quart QM 218.61 - Awesome mounting depth. Smooth midrange, gorgeous highs. Tweets mount anywhere and sound great (definitely step them down though). Maybe a little lacking in sub bass, but if you make up for it, these sound amazing. QSDs are very similar but I think the new wet powder coating on the cones adds to the density and makes for a little better midbass. The tweets have been the same since the Q series of old. To those who were nervous when RF bought quart. RELAX, its all good baby!
Another speaker that shouldn't have been disco'd was Boston Acoustics' 6-5.3, 3-way pro components. The xovers were enormous but damn if those didn't sound awesome. I liked boston pro-series subs around the same year too, but they were kinda pricey.
