Tweeter Question
Tweeter Question
This is a dumb question but...
How can I tell if the tweeter on my components are properly installed? I didn't do the install myself because there was cutting involved, and I don't know how much I trust the people who did it now.
Any help will be great ( prefferably not having to take the door apart would be even better) thanks

what do you mean properly installed? you don't have to seal tweeters really. you have to power them and have some sort of a crossover on them. then you should hear some sound. explain why you think they are improperly installed
You also might want to bring them to a repulable company such as Circuit City/ The good guys to have them installed. I dont think most have properly trainned employees. If not, you can always go back and complain and they'll fix it for free.
well basically, you know how you can feel air moving in a 6.5 inch speaker. I can't 'feel' anything. Now i know the speaker is 1 inch or so, so not much air is displaced, so i have turned down my bass and mids and treble all the way up and really couldnt tell if there was noise coming from it. i was just wondering if there was a definate way to find out. (should i do that again and press my ear to the speaker?)
(I got them installed at a Best Buy, but notthe one i worked at.)
Thanks for the help
