Question about wiring

i currently have a sony hu and was trying to replace it with a pioneer hu. i undid the wires from the sony and rewired the adapter the pioneer. i turn the car on and nothing happens. i think theres something wrong with the pioneer so i put the sony back in and it dont work. and now the chime that comes on when the doors are open and the lights are on or the key is in the ignition doesnt work, my power doors dont work unless the car is turned on, my remote lock/unlock doesnt work, and the dome light doesnt come on when the doors are open. ive checked all the fuses and none are blown. can anyone help me? PLEASE!!!

Fuses are in two spots. Under the hood and inside. Check both areas ...

What is the model number for the Pioneer? Is it one of those HUs that have the "alarm feature" on it?

You should probably have disconnected the battery while you work on the audio stuff, but check the fuses, I'm pretty sure that'd be your problem.

the hu is the deh-p6600. i ask a friend that professionally installs audio equipment, and he said it was most likely a fuse. so im going to replace the ones, blown or not, that could cause this problem. if anyone has any more info on what to do PLEASE let me know.

Check the backup fuse under the hood and the radio fuse under the dash

There is probably also a fuse on your HU somewhere, eitehr on the unit itself or inline on one of the power wires
