I have a creative nomad 40 gigs which holds all my songs and unfortunately i have no way of using it in the car. Ive tried an FM transmitter from belkin but living in NYC doesnt help as every frequency is taken up. I know i could change the Head unit with one that has a line in or add the factory cassette and buy an adaptor, but beinga poor college student saving for laptop/other necessities money is limited. Would anyone have any other ideas or cheap but good head unit suggestions that I might be able to purchase? Thanks for your help.

Yeah, throw out the FM Transmitter and get an FM Modulator... never heard of an FM transmitter.

why not just get the aux. adapter posted above? It sounds like a great solution for you, cheaper than any HU.
