I would think most people on this site have switched out their OEM speakers, and I just had mine done today. Installer told me what a bitch my car was...the rear deck couldn't be accessed until almost the entire backseat had come out, and the front speaker wells in the doors had to get cut to make room for the bigger magnet. And I thought Civics were easy-to-mod cars?

Anyone had a problem like this with speakers not fitting or anything? Oh, and just for reference: 2003 LX, coupe, and the speakers I got are Boston Acoustics SL's. With ony the speakers and nothing else done the audio sounded a ton better.

Yes, the first time you install the rears in our car's is a biotch, especially if you haven't done them before. Took me about an hour to an hour and a half to get the rear deck out, just cause I didn't know where to start. Now it probably takes me 15-30 minutes to remove the seat and all the stuff required to remove the rear deck. Didn't have a problem with the doors though (after finding all the screws)

I'm not mechanically inclined - this was the guy at Tweeter who said that it was one of most annoying Hondas he ever did because of the access problems.
