Strange CD player anomaly
OK, the other day & pulled up to church, turned my car off, pulled the key out & my CD player was still on. I said WTH, turned it on & off again but nothing. I ended up switching it off manually. It did that all day yesterday, I checked all the fuses & everything & my radar detector still worked fine, turning off with the car(I have it wired directly into the radio fuse, in the fuse box). But last night it started working fine again
So I dont know what the deal was, but it was annoying as hell. Can anybody figure this out so if it happenes again I can fix it for good?? At the time I thought I blew a relay or fuse or something like that & the power was running through the satellite power wire(the wire that goes directly to the battery that powers the eject function when the car is off, I dont know the 'car' term for it) so it was always on, but then it works now so I have no idea.

It should be wired to the ignition controled power wire. That way the deck only gets power when the key is in acc. position. Older cars had the decks wired so they cn turn on all the time without a key. But that's not your problem.

Right, it turns on & off with the ignition, but why would that change for a day?? Is there a relay or breaker that I could have tripped that maybee reset itself?? Thats all I can think of.
But then, the Radar detector is wired directly onto the radio fuse itself, & it had no problems whatsoever. So the problem must be between the fusebox & the head unit.
I dunno, im an electrical n00b
