Hi guys, I've never really been too into I.C.E. that much, but I've come across an opportunity: my grandfather is selling his store (which carries all sorts of car audio stuff), and at the end of this week whatever he hasn't sold he's going to throw away. I didn't really know what I was looking for, but I saw this sub in the box and thought I should pick up one of those to help round out the low-end in my car (2002 EX Coupe).
All I know about the sub itself is what you see in the picture, same for the amp (a ppi A100 2 channel, in case that isn't clear enough in the picture).
Here are some questions I have about what I got:
1. What kind of quality is this stuff? Keep in mind I'm not asking this compared to today's top-of-the-line stuff, I got this at NO cost to me :-).
2. Is there anything I can/should do to make it sound better (nothing too expensive, please).
3. In the same vein as 2, is there a way to "bridge" this amp? I'm very new to this and have only a basic understanding of what "bridging" is, but from what I understand, I am currently only using 1/2 of the amps capacity, and I could double it's output by "bridging" it.

wtf are those jumping things anyway?
well, take the positive of 1st channel and connect it to the negative of the 2nd channel. Take the positive of the 2nd channel and connect it to the postive of the sub, and take the negative of the 1st channel and connect to positive of the sub...confusing, but get ur wires straight and it should work out fine... or do what i did, take the wires and start plugging them everywhere...use logic and common sense, and if ur stuff doesn't blow, it'll eventually work! ^_^ j/k

Thank you very much chocobo... now my questions is how much risk does this pose to the amp/sub? I got it for free, so having to replace something would be like an infinity% replacement cost.......
I've heard that some amps are "unbridgeable". What exactly does that mean? Is this amp one of them?
Thanks!!

You can bridge that amp with no damage to it or the sub (unless you go crazy on the gain). It's a very nice amp at that, considered a collectors item and famous for sound quality and build quality.

Well, I've figured it out. I e-mailed ppi at 11:30PM last night, and by 12:00 noon this afternoon got a response back with the full pdf manual attached.
To any that care: this amp is internally bridgeable, meaning that all I had to do was put the + on Left+ and the - on Right-, and NOT connect anything to Right+ or Left-.

Wait a minute, your telling me all this time I had amps and was bridging them i was doing it wrong,,,,I feel like an azz,,,,,,,,,,so if its a 2 channel amp, any amp? you take a jummper wire from one side of the amp ti the other and take the remaining ones to the sub? I used to just hook the + to one side and - to the other but never actually a wire on the amp,,,,,,does it go were it says briged on the amp???????? or is that were the speaker connects? IM SO CONFUSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm, okay maybe this might be slightly clearer for you
(pretend the diag. below are your speaker connections on your amp)
[+][+][-][-]
Take a wire from the furtheset [+] and connect it from the output on your amp to the [+] on the sub box (in most cases red conection on your sub box, then do the same for the [-] and essentially you will be taking it from the furthese [-] (right side) and connect it to the negative output on your box.
Now of course your amp maybe different in its layout but generally speaking thats how you hook up an amp that can be bridged (not sure if yours can be, just trying offer some help). Hopefully this may act as a guide. P.s. nice amp!
