Rep Power: 0 what kind of sound are you looking for?
my diamond audio 600s components sound awesome, but theyre different awesome then say some qsd mbquarts. they both kick ***, but they sound different.
if you want good natural sound that accurately reproduce, go for the type r's of some mb quatrs
if you want hard rocking music that gives pronounced highs and lows, go for diamond or infinity

i heard that the qsd's are the best, and i hear that they new jl's coming out are gonna be amazing, but the best that i have actually heard myself was a full Image Dynamic set-up with the compression horns.

Rep Power: 322 Definantly Quart QSDs...but I have only heard them on a sound board listening to music and watching Braveheart.
I definantly have a thing for treble :P So I like speakers that scream like Boston Pros, Quarts, And Infinity Perfects...I am not into "laid-back" speakers.

I don't recall the quart model - but the Bostons were the 6.5 pro comps. Hard to describe, but the boston's didn't sound as "tinny" as the quarts - although the tweet is harsher with the bostons...

Rep Power: 293 i like my diamond audio hex's, focal uptopias are sweet also.
i heard a set of image dynamics components, cant recall which set, but they had incredible sounding highs and lows, but the mids lacked, the vocals was what it was, didnt sound good, muffled.
bostic acoustics has great sounding speakers to, i wish i could have heard the Z6 components on 400 watts.

Rep Power: 355 I have Diamond HEX 6.5's and M5's powered off of a 300/2. Focals are nice but too directional. Why spend so much cash and put them in the doors? I'm sure they'd serve a much better purpose on-axis.

Rep Power: 0 Boston has some nice speakers, espically those pro comps. They handle mid's very well. I am running infinity Kappa's with a Alpine 9895 HU and I love the sound. It is very crisp and clear. I have also heard the MB Quarts QSD's also and have decided to go with those in my next ride. Those are by far the best I have heard yet. However they are pricy as well. If you dont care about price too much, I would go with the QSD's. If not Infinity Kappas, Polk's, Boston's, or even the jl's are not too bad of speakers and are cheaper.
You will need to run an amp to all of those above to get a great sound from them though.

Rep Power: 0 You need to listen for yourself and not go by someone else's opinion of what sounds the best. Decide how much you want to spend and go listen to them, preferably in a car with a good install and not on a soundboard. Just use the opinions you are getting here as a base of what to go listen too. Very important...speakers do NOT have to cost a buttload of money to sound good. Let your ears decide for you what to get.

my current 3 way component set up front cost me 198 dollars, but with all the ridiculous time ive put into installing it, im forced to spend upwards of 600-700 dollars to get a set of better sounding speakers.
