I have a kenwood system that is in need of some help please
heres what I got
kenwood deck excelon 617
kenwood components mids and highs in the doors with x overs
kenwood excelon 6x9 3 ways in the rear deck
(1) 10" JL audio sub w3 6 ohm
pushing the fronts and rears is a
5 chanel kenwood with the sub left off
for the sub
is kenwood 2 chanel bridged
let me know if ya need more info on watts and model #s
I have had several problems with amps both being repaird for out put I think
but both should be in working order.
the sub amp has been in storage untill today to test
the first symptoms were the volume started to cut out at 35 full blast then a little by little it would cut out at lower levels until nothing at all. all of this over a two week period
my first guess was the head unit. had it taken in for a look see.
they said it was fine lost 20 bucks there !@#$#$%^&
went home and decided to hook up the sub amp to see if it plays just the inside of the cab
it barley plays at full blast but has a nasty bump when you turn it off
you guys please help me if you know whats wrong. I dont want to give this stereo guy any more $$$$ than I have to
If you need more info email me and ill see if I can get anny more info that you might need thanks in advance

I have a kenwood deck not an exelon but running my speakers off of the stereo amp and if i play it for a while at about 27 max being 35 it does the same thing. i think its just that kenwood suck first one i have owned and never had this prob on other stereos and i had about 10 different ones. someone told me it was the amp in the stereo.

I sold my box and my amps thinking it was that .. 1 month later ... problem comes back and i would happen everyday.. i would have to turn it off for least a hour and then it would good for like 30 minutes.. I always play my music full blast, after a while the internal amp just goes... time to get a new get ... go for kenwood 915 ... best deck out period
