amp problems
I turn my car on one day, and both my amps are not working. so i mess around trying to get them going, and realize they aren't turning on..so i check the remote wire and its fine, but for some reason, the remote wire output on my pioneer deck isn't putting out any voltage(checked with multimeter) so i hook up my sub amp to the acc. socket and it blows the fuse. i try my speakers amp and it works find w/o blowing and fuses?
so my question is what could be wrong with my sub amp. its a JBL 300.1. all other wiring is fine and no fuses are blown.
any ideas?

double check your ground wire just to make sure...make sure wherever you grounded it that the paint is scratched off...i installed a system in one of my friends ride and everything worked fine for about an hour...then we turned off everything and when we got back in the car we turned it on but the amp didn't work...so i checked the ground and noticed that i needed to scratch off the paint and i did and it worked fine...you may not have that problem but just an idea...hope it helps

but doesnt the remote wire need a voltage as well for the amp to turn on?
or do u mean hook them all up to the batt?
EDIT: i also tried using a new remote wire...it blew the acc. fuse as well, so its defenatly not the wire itself.

mmm
amp problem
deck remote is also permanently dead most likely
open up the back plate and side plates of the amp, and take a pic for me (preferably really high res so i can see the internals)
if the site wont let you upload it, email it to ludlamtheory@hotmail.com

yeh i have...but for some reason, my speaker one is blowing fuses now too...so i think my wiring is shorting somewhere, so i think im gonna rip it all out and redo it all
or is there anyway to test the wires if they are shorting or not w/o all that work?
