you probably dont want ppl to know you have a sub cuz it'll get jacked... another good one i forgot to metion is the Infinity perfect. I'm also thinkin of gettin 1 12 for my gf cuz her 2 10s weight too much... i'm pretty much debating between the Kicker L5 and the Infinity Perfect.

lease: The L5 is a good alternative. Going for around 200, depending on where you buy from.
Right now it's 200 at sounddomain.

orion HCCA15 from ebay, because you probably wanna get REAL loud.
not the H2, nor the hcca with the screened on logo on the dustcapless cone. the one that has a plastic dustcap and says "orion" only, not even hcca.
its not an everyday occurrence on ebay, but i dare anyone to find a louder speaker for $200 or less that gets super loud on even 600 watts RMS.
unless you can find an audiomobile MASS, but those are kinda rare nowadays.
if you insist on a 12, id go with the HCCA12

What is the benefit of power handling? Isn't efficiency more important. I use to want Kicker subs, but I think the JL Audios are much more efficient on their use of power.
I would check the Alpine Type-R 1241-D
it's a 12'' dvc sub, hits hard, has nice lows, and when powered correctly it sounds AWESOME...
it also depends on the amp that you have that you want to run the 12 with...just let me know what it is...

^^^ I agree with silver.
The Alpine Type-R can be had for ~$100 and is probably the best budget subwoofer there is. With one 12" in a sealed box, you will have great SQ and also the ability to get decently loud. With the right wattage, this can be a perfect addition to your sound system.

Hey SQCivic, if you have a Circuit City around you...go check them out...I know that at one of the ones in my area, they have an alpine type r with a box for like 230 or so....i would pitch in that extra couple bucks and get that....great sub for the money...
