Where to mount component crossovers?

I have some Infinity 600cs components speakers, adapter ring and wiring harness on the way, should be here in a few days. I was wondering where the best place to mount the crossovers, they look rather large in the picture and was hoping someone had some ideas.

Oh so i guess its better to run the crossovers closer to the amp then from the speakers. I was thinking they would do better closer to the speakers and running shorter wires from there.

I have mine in the trunk as well, I dont like putting them in the doors due to moisture and if something goes wrong (Like cooking one of them ) they are easily accessible.

if you mount them elsewhere instead of the door do you have to run speaker wire through the door?

my bostons are in my doors - this minimizes the amount of wiring you need to run to the amp(one pair of speaker wires to the crossover itself, then two sets to the woofer and tweeter per crossover).

Mystic makes a good point though - he has easy access to replace them. I might do that myself next time.

Good point, I just wish I would have thought about components when I installed two amps and my subs.
