problem with amp..

i have 4 pioneer 10s 2-dvc and 2 are svc (i know i know but is what i have) running at 4ohms to a sony xplode 800watt amp.
the problem im having is the amp keeps cutting out.. and blowing fuses.
i replaced the fuse with another 30 and it blew, tried a 40 and that blew.
went back to a 30 and that blew.
i thought the amp is supose to go into protect mode but its not it just keeps
blowing the fuse. Anyone know why this would that or what i can check or have to fix ??

MrWong is an unknown quantity at this point
Are you running the proper requirements for wiring ? esp. the power wire, is there a fuse between the battery and the amp.

Is the amp grounded properly and firmly ?

i don't remember seeing a dual 2 ohm pioneer sub before. and unless you have one, there's no way you're running at 4 ohms.

not to mention the fact that your subs aren't gonna be getting the same power. the DVC ones are either getting 2 times the power of the SVC, or half the power, depending on wiring.

on a sony amp, i'd trust the protect circuit like a klepto in a mini mart. the impedence is probably 2.66 ohms, causing it to draw too much current, throwing the fuse. at 2.66, it would draw about 50% more current

yeah 2 are dual voice coilover and 2 are single.
so basically the amp is crap... figures so bascally
get 2 more single voice coilovers or 2 more dual voice coilover subs too even it out
and change teh amp ?

Huh?

The amp isn't great but it will work. Its blowing the fuse because the wiring is wrong. Wiring it so that the ohm load is too low will make the fuses keep blowing.

Low ohms = more current = blow fuses.

What exact make and model Sony amp do you have, and exact make and model of the subs. Give us that and we can help you out.

Also mixing up sub models is generaly a bad thing.
