amp overheating
I have the 200W audiobahn 2 channel amp. I have a 250watt RMS mtx 6000 sub.
The amp is in a somewhat enclosed space under the sub in the well of the S2k's trunk. Not much I can do about where it is since it's bolted down.
I find after an hour or so, the amp starts to overheat and cuts out for a bit. then comes back on a few minutes, then cuts out a few minutes.
any ideas on what i can do?
bass boost is OFF
and the gain is only at about 3/4 and not at max.

Yes I agree with Regular Joe. That should help you out. I had the same problem with my RF amp in the trunk of my civic during the summer...It was very annoying.

I'll have to see where I can mount it. I'll post pics of my setup later and you guys can give me a hint as to where.
