s2000 dimensions for audio?
s2000 dimensions for audio?
i have a civic w/ tons of diamond stuff, and i love teh quality. i'm looking at some cars i can buy, and one of my choices would be the s2000. but, the trunk space seems really small!
does anyone know what can fit into a s2000? like, dimensions of what components i can get, and what subwoofers+enclosures woudl fit? it seems that there are two speakers w/ two tweeters for stock, but i'm not sure. if this is true, i plan to get:
new deck (mp3 player)
two 10s on th
two components
two amps
can anyone recommend a setup for me, or is this just not a good car when it comes to audio setups? i'm not gonna use this car for groceries, since i'll keep my civic, so i'm not afraid to use up all the trunk space

what do u guys think of this (the layout, not the brands the guy uses!)? im looking at two powerful subs, like diamond 10s, for a similar look, but the length of those subs, i dunno if it'll fit

check out www.s2ki.com - go to the electronics forum.
The stock S2000 comes with only front speakers (6.5's in the doors). The 00 and 01's don't have stock components, the 02-04's do.
There is a guy selling "S-Pods" on the s2ki board that fit 5.25 compentents in the roll bars behind the seats. check it out.

dont bother with rear speakers in the cabin or the s-pods.
if you upgrade door speakers you are fine there.
you can run a variety of setups in the trunk for subs, including mounting amps in the wheel well or spare tire well.
i'll put up pics of my setup when i get home

THose subs in the pic appear to be 10W7's, which is a rather deep sub, so you shouldent have any problems fitting them, you'll just need to make use of a fiberglass bowl I would assume, since i havent actually seen the trunk in those.
