Hey everyone, just curious but I need a new pair of speakers, one of my XR mids blew out and I think the other one is damaged. I am getting a new amplifier because my current 2ch HiFonics amp is too powerful for how I use these speakers(daily). I am getting a new Alpine T-420 amplifier which is 110W RMSx2 @ 4ohms. Will I hear a large difference in the way the VRs sound in comparison to the XRs? I am short on money, so a cheaper alternative is what I am looking for.

yeah, the VR's lose a little clarity, but its the same type of sound. warm and smooth, with a little harsher tweet.
