sony cdx-mp40?
alright, I am really lost when it comes to audio so please bare with me. Ok I am about to purchase the sony cdx-mp40 from price grabber.com I have a questions if a HU says 4 channel doesn't that mean it can only power 4 speakers. My civic is an ex so it has 6 speakers two tweeters...ah you guys know that. so itsn't there bridging invovled. help? i am lost

Rep Power: 0 i think your 2 tweeters in the front are connected together with the front two speakers... so 4 channel means the headunit is giving out that certain wattage for those 4 channels... and ludlam is right.. sony isn't all that when it comes to hu.. but i have a sony mp3 player.. and i haven't had any problems with it yet..... but i saw that sony mp40 hu you are getting.... if i were you i would save a little more money and get a better one...

Rep Power: 0 NAh, please don't do Sony, it's ok, but for audio they arent all that. I've had 2 Sony decks and they both turned out to be crap. Get the Pioneer p4500mp if u are just lookin to play mp3's. You can prolly find it cheaper than it is on Sound Domain. Try price grabber or ebay or sumthin.
