Sub Options??
What would the best set up for subs be: 2 12" or 3 10"?? i have 2 12" right now but i am looking at buying newer subs and i have heard about the 3 10" set up but don't really know how it would work. thanx!

not really a best man. 1 10" can sound better than 3 12's vice versa....it's all on the setup and install!
from what i have learned depends on the type of amp/subs/box etc etc etc. Kinda be specific in what you want? like hard hitting bass? clean and crisp? what?

I prefer triplesub setups over double, much sexier. I put three 15's in my own car.
my vote is 3 10s or 3 12's
it works like anything else, just the wiring gets a little more complex. Realistically, a 2 ohm or 1 ohm stable monoblock amplifier can handle the loads that will be presented by three speakers.
Its a good idea to get an amplifier that has a fair bit more power than you need, as the slightly off load will run the amplifier not at 1 or 2 ohms, but 1.3 or 2.6, unless you get odd impedance speakers like the JL w7 or the Audiobahn alums.

or kiss trunk space good bye and get 4 subs. fonto did it, that was a tight fit though.
going from above, some amps give the same or almost the same power at different impedences. JL amps would be mighty expensive, but they put out rated power at impendences from 1.5-4 ohms. or phoenix gold has amps that are rated at 2 ohms, but stable down to 1. they may actually put out less power closer to one ohm than the put out at 2 ohms though. so amp choice can help with powering speakers as well
