130db with an epic-160...
thats it, a 130db, is that respectable? i have a diamond audio tdx 12" running off a diamond audio d5 1200.1 (1200watt monoblock) in a 1.5cubic ft. sealed enclosure. i was hoping for 135db, but i guess 130db is where i am stuck at. it sounds great, and its loud, so i'm not complaining, but just thought it was low.

130-140's is pretty common unless your into serious SPL. i havent had my civic tested yet. but im pretty sure im in that range or there maybe the 140's. My highest spl was 152.3 in my last truck i had. 1999 f250 ext cab with 4 - 15's in a bed box, the thing POUNDED for a DIY sound system ! Not to mention meters have been known to give faulty readings!

^^^ yeah i have had a few systems that were banging high 140's and (2) meters at shows i went to said i was couldnt' even break 135.
And one system i had hit consistent high 150.?'s with (1)15" RFL, the one meter said that i was in the low 130's.
But all in all, if u are in the 130's that is still respectable.

the epic-160 helped tremendously in the bass department, so yea, i'm happy. i just never hear about the spl of common, every day systems, so i had nothing to compare to, but i guess 130db isn't bad.
btw, the epic-160 also displays voltage, and man, my voltage changes like a ****, goes from 14.0volts to 11.7volts, to 12.3volts, back down to 11.7volts, etc. i guess i need to beef up the electrical a little.
