i have heard people saying they are getting it for 8 bucks a sheet in 3'4".Where are they gettin it? maybe they just jack it up real high in a commercialized store like home depot b/c noone knows about it. im going to check like a lumber yard or building supply store, maybe a distributer. imo $40bucks for 5/8" is way high.

every home depot i have ever been to has 3/4" mdf in 4x8 sheets for 18 dollars or less

sheet of 3/4" MDF weighs 94-96 pounds depending on the air humidity

i always buy the stuff for 17 or 18 bucks at home depot

damn that stuff weighs alot. im planning on doing the trunk floor intall and putting the the amps on either side of the subs and raising the whole florr abnout 4 inches. will i really need 3/4" all the way around? can i just make it in pieces. like the sub box all together and make the floor out of somethin else and cut out a rectangle and slide the box in? get what im sayin? or will it be better like all one piece?

i got it at home depot for $8 per sheet. 3/4" 4X8 sheet. it weighs around 50 or so pounds, at least thats what it feels like because of the akward size and shape.

sorry, i didn't read your post. the stuff isn't that heavy, there, that better. i never put it on a scale, so i didn't know the exact weight. big deal. i pick up 2 sheets at a time and load them in the truck. they aren't heavy to me. felt like about 50 pounds last time i picked a sheet up.

yep my HD sells the 4X8's for around $20. and PopcornPlaya, you pick up two 4X8 sheets at a time? *cough, BULLSHIT, *cough. i do one at a time, and that's tuff, because they're pretty unwieldly. so for you to say you do two times as much? riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ight.
