Angry Alpine Type-X 6.5" in a coupe???

So, for reference, Alpine Type-X 6.5" components DO fit in an 03 coupe, but barely and it took a lot of work.

I had to make 3/4" thick mdf baffles, cut away some sheet metal for the large basket, trim out the plastic on the inside of the door and put new foam protection in.

Also, the tweeters fit into EX sail panels with just about as much modification, but look snice when finished.

I'll post pics shortly.

Pshhh, I got the same ones. I just gave them to my friend and he put them in but took one of his trunk rods out. His trunk is heavy as hell now.

Doesn't your trunk slam really hard now? Does it even stay open if you open it all the way? That is not too bad of an idea if you can be really carefulk....ie not letting your friends use your trunk....

I had the infinity 3 ways but I had to sell them cause they didn't fit....I didn't know about this site at that time otherwise I would have done some work. I have pictures of the box the speakers were in if you don't believe those speakers exist....

Maybe they are just called Kappa's instead of th refrence series, but I thought they were kappa perfects....
