hey everyone, it's me again.... looking for you guys to help me out once again!
ok, here's the deal, i currently have 2 10" subs ina bandpass enclosure which is takin up like half of my trunk (it rest againt the back of the rear seats and leans up against the cargo net) it's huge but it makes unbelieveable bass, it's powered by a 350watt amp... anyway, i need to find out if there is anything i can get that will produce the same bass but ina much smaller enclosure, i've been thinking of getting a single large sub in a small open enclosure but i have no idea what the characteristics are of other boxes compared to what i have, so please, either let me know what you guys are using so i cans ee what sounds good in our car or give me suggestion on what to do, i need more trunk space !!!!! thanks again!!!!!!!!!

for just loud i would say maybe a directed audio comp x subwoofer. those take some of the smallest boxes out there and get pretty loud even in a sealed encosure with limited power. maybe soundstream if you have more money.
Bandpass will probably produce the most bass. The same 10's in a sealed enclosure will not produce as much bass. I would recommend a new, larger, amp. Then, get a sealed enclosure with 2 10's or 12's. The only subs that I know of that require the least amount of air space are alumapro subs. They are decent subs imo. But a larger amp would help in making up for the bass that you will lose switching to a sealed box.

This may not give you as much bass as two 10's, but it'll allow you to regain most of your trunk. It does have a 12" in it, so it probably sounds pretty good. If I didn't already have a sub and box, I'd try it.

I have a single 12" Eclipse Aluminum on a Kicker 400.1 that fit what I wanted. Nice mix of volume, sound quality, and didn't use so much of my trunk space. Look at my website for all the pics and info .....
I'm about 4 hrs away if you wanna listen ..... but I am sure there are others that are closer.

They do make tube-shaped sub boxes. What size do you need? I used to have one with a 10" sub in it.

my amps are laying down flat behind the box, and if u mounted ur amps somewhere else vertically or sumthin, you cud push the box into the turnk at least another foot.

Mine sounded pretty good. Depends on the amp and sub you use. But I would recommend it for someone who wants to reclaim their trunk. I use one of those triangle shaped bazooka subs and box. They sound good and it's easy to pull out of the trunk if I need the space for a trip or something.
