Very slick! This guy used one of those super small Epia motherboards inside a car stereo case.

Holy Jeebus!!
That is the craziest thing I have ever seen. I dont know why he was attempting to cram all of that stuff into a single din case, but I gotta give that guy much respect for his work and persistance.

that is truly amazing; w/ an in dash computer, u basically have a cd/mp3/dvd player/nav in one! before thsi, the coolest thing i've heard of was an NES (the old nintendo system) reshaped to fit a din, and u can put a game pak and play old nintendo games in it. hopefully, they'll have in-dash ps2s and gamecubes for cars sometime in the future

as for the cost, the list of stuff to buy may cost as much as the car itself (the flat screen, nav unit, etc, are not cheap!), in addition to prolly tons of less-known installation techniques

Agreed, having it all in one would be very cool, but like you said probably very expensive and a lot of extra unmentioned parts and labor as well. I achieved everything he did through separate components for much cheaper most likely by doing the following DIY's and everything doesn't take up much space either...

1. Indash HU for radio, cd, and lcd/video
2. Custom mounted PS2 for games and dvd
3. Custom mounted iPod for mp3's
4. Custom mounted Pocket PC for GPS nav and wireless internet thru wifi

Well, maybe my stuff is expensive too, but at least it's much easier to do and I can take my stuff w/ me and not have it stolen in one bang.
