amp problems

I just finished wiring my MTX amp, and nothing! no sound at all.... not sure if i'm missing something or if i have a broken amp or sub??
I have the remote wire and power wire coming from the passenger side and the rca cables coming from the driver side. Everything is plugged in, so I'm not sure what exactly I'm doing wrong? Anybody got any clue?

First of all... does your amp turn on? Most amps have some type of LED on it that turns on when the amp is on. If the amp is not on... check your power, ground, and remote turn on lead connections. Check all fuses as well, on the amp and power lead. If your amp is on, and you're not getting any sound, check your RCA connections and your RCA's too just in case. If you're head unit has a sub out preamp out then check the options on your head unit and see if there is an on/off option for the sub out. Lastly, check your speaker outs on the amp. See if they are connected to the right terminals and that there is a sufficient amount of wire exposed for a good connection. And make sure the positive and negative connections are correct. If you still get nothing, I have no clue then. I guess send it in for repair or replacement. Good luck with that.

I found my problem....somehow the fuse on the power wire got this white powder all over it and it didn't look like the fuse was blown, so i scraped off the residue and it worked fine! thanks for your help!

yea, that white powder is prolly oxidation...this must've been an old wireing kit sitting around somewhere damp. not a good sign for electronics, if youre system acts up in the future, look at replacing that corroded stuff
