amp fried?
I was listening to some tunes and a song ended and when the next song started there was no music so I was like $&^$#@%^$&.......
I checked the fuses and the fuse on the amp was blown..... I replaced it and when I started up my deck the sucker popped again. I then went to radio shack and bought some more fuses...... good thing they're cheap.
I tried just turning the amp on with no speakers attached and the fuse was fine. Then I tried hooking a single component up to the amp and it fried.... tried the same speaker on another channel and it fried.... Then I tried the other component on the other channels with the same results.
I just opened up my amp and nothing is obviously fried inside the amp... so what's your thought?
Oh and no I didn't have gains all the way up..... only a little over half.

hmm.... guess I'll just try my amp in my friend's car to check if it's blown.... seems odd that it would be blown though as the amp was only lukewarm to the touch, I had my gains low, and inside I see no visual signs of damage

I know it's not the ground because I never had any noise even at high volumes..... all of my wires seem fine, yet my fuse only blows when a speaker is connected. The amp power light turns on and the fuse is perfectly fine until I connect a speaker. This would mean there is no internal short, correct? This is just a wee bit irritating lol..... And yes I do know that things about blown amps have been posted quite a bit...
